A lot of people in power are demonstrating that they don’t actually believe in the premise of the Declaration of Independence or the republic as a concept. They believe that some people are created superior, and it is offensive and wrong for superiors to live bound by the needs of those below them.

There’s not enough attention on this. We are saying coming to the US is so heinous that with no trial or due process you will spend the rest of your life in the worst prison system in the world. WTF?!
I still can’t figure out when “we can deport you” turned into “we can put you in a hell hole prison in a third country, indefinitely, with no legal recourse.”

I wish everyone who mocks and makes fun of the rallies and protests taking place lately would take note of this. Don’t underestimate the value of a morale boost. Esp. For those of us who feel alone in red states.
What I think was *really* beneficial about Hands Off is that people need to see (in real life) that they’re not alone.
In-person events and marches can really fill up people’s fighting tanks, so to speak. And this regime has handed us a really really long, tedious, and difficult fight.
