Powerful reminder from @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social. In his first month of presidency, Trump has attempted multiple power grabs. He'll try to get away with as much as he can until the ppl stop him. Our job is to fight back. Democracy is a verb. It is something we must do, something we must fight for.

Today resistance looks like a break from LA, eating New Haven-style pizza and being in hardcore auntie mode for a week. The lineup: Moana 2 (watching Moana 1 now…it’s good!) middle school musical (2 nights in a row), basketball game, figure skating competition. Rest, Rejuvenate, Resist, Repeat.
Nodding to Che Guevara and Michel Foucault here. Through the act of oppressing, oppressors create the very thing that will ultimately destroy them. All empires fall. Every act of resistance slows them down. Let’s buy ourselves some time by making every. Single. Thing. They do. Difficult.

I should probably post something here. Here’s a me and a rock I found on the beach with the tiniest pinhole. I wish I had kept it to myself make a camera or something. Anyhow…u ok out there? If not, maybe go to the beach for a minute.
