I’ve only seen one X300 V12 in the flesh. It supposedly had an owner but coincidentally was also being worked on at my mechanic every time I was there.

The main thing I remember about driving one is that the seat heater knob had like 17 detents. Some cool color combos too.

KHTQ in Spokane still does! WFYR in Chicago did too. I’d guess that car radios moving from analog to digital tuning around the mid-to-late ‘80s killed most non-decimal branding, the same way “Oldies 103” became “Oldies 103.3.”

Modern supercars feel disconnected from everyday life. Only a tiny fraction of people can afford one, and an even smaller fraction have the skills and track access to experience what sets them apart, especially when the average grocery getter’s capabilities outstrip the average driver’s skills.
