"Leave any bigotry in your quarters. There's no room for it on the bridge."

FACT: Star Trek has always been #woke.
This week, we analyze perhaps the greatest episode of Star Trek (TOS) "Balance of Terror." A Romulan attack, a wedding interrupted, a bigot on the bridge, Captain Kirk in serious mode, and Uhura Triumphant! Join us.

Is it possible to overdo it on Star Trek?

If so, please illustrate what this might look like.

#TOSSatNight The only problem with The Trouble with Tribbles being the episode I turn on to listen to when I can't sleep... is that it makes me sleepy... which is not ideal for a late night watchalong 😂 That said, I love this episode, let's gooooo!!! 🖖

I think I’m going to be more than a little bereft when this season of Starfleet Academy ends. It’s been the most consistently enjoyable series of live action #StarTrek this century. Arguably longer.

(Please don’t cock it up!)

And I’m still hoping for more than two seasons. 🤞🖖

Do you think you can remember "Where in the hell have I heard that before?" Then you need to listen to the weird noises that Thingus from the @itsgotstartrek.bsky.social podcast has clipped from somewhere in the #StarTrek franchise and then let them know what it is. open.spotify.com/episode/5PZL...

Sometimes it's fun to go back and examine a TNG. Found myself listening to my own podcast, and for once in my life enjoying it. (My mixing on point, say I so myself ... which is extremely rare)

Check out this TNG ep we released on New Years Day 2026:

Tawny Newsome just made one of the greatest episodes of Star Trek of all time.

System Acclimation Mil is beyond perfection. Absolutely in bits.

Ugly cried for half an hour straight. She's the perfect person to run Star Trek.

Starfleet Academy excels yet again.

“Vitus Reflux” isn’t perfect—some of the sports stuff felt forced—but the heart is pure Star Trek. It’s optimistic, diverse, and quietly radical in how it insists communication and empathy can always triumph over rivalry.

B+ from me.
