Alright, bsky, this seems to be the done thing! In no particular order:

🕵️‍♀️ Cybersecurity
👨‍💻 Coding

🏃‍♂️Running
📺 TV & Film
🔬 Science
🐈 Memes

I may or may not have pushed memes to the bottom to make myself look more cultured 👌
Get sort of close to a solid idea, suddenly divert off on a random tangent and fuck it up. Every. Single. Episode.

Went from seeing Alan as the worst possible choice as a Traitor to being more here for it than any other selection Claudia has ever made.

Apps that use notifications to serve what are very obviously just adverts - looking at you eBay and Uber - really shouldn’t be able to.

Trying to imagine how the MAGA crowd would react had Biden, Obama or any other democrat president criticised a reporter for asking a “nasty” question.

Got told recently on LinkedIn that “almost no” cybersec breaches are down to negligence. #hmm

Everyone is watching #adolescence and declaring smartphones to be the problem, gliding past the fact that it’s very clearly social media (and thus entirely unmoderated smartphones) that are the real issue.

Don’t trust your kid to manage their smartphone alone and, who knew, the problem shrinks.

A #recruiter, recently on LinkedIn: “Sometimes we refuse to tell candidates the name of the company offering the role we’re pushing their way. We absolutely do this for the candidates’ own good!”

But yeah the industry’s in great shape.

Finally got around to the final episode of #Amandaland and have to confess myself a little disappointed with the finale as a whole. We saw Amanda at her very worst - a smug bully rather than simply cringeworthy - and receive no real comeuppance, nor vindication for those she treated so terribly.

Elon’s habit of demanding others justify themselves to him is possibly the most telling behaviour he shows. Trump might be a colossal ego in an oversized necktie, but Elon makes him look just a bit full of himself by comparison.

Charlotte’s smile in that final turret scene might be the most terrifying thing I’ve seen across all three series. Freddie, you poor lad ❤️

Minah spent half a series dragging her nan through an escape room only for her new apprentice to inevitably knife her in the next couple of episodes.

Has there ever been a faithful who has been more helpful to the traitors yet wholly avoided suspicion than Joe? Genuinely asking.

At this point it’s really tough to say that the traitors are playing a blinder because the faithful are so god-awful that it wouldn’t make a difference.

At what point does the group notice that Joe is repeatedly going after softly spoken, intelligent men who are NOT TRAITORS?

Look, UK government, I do appreciate being informed of severe weather alerts, but three in a row saying identical things when I’m trying to get the baby to sleep feels a bit much.

Does anyone else feel that X is terrible because, well, (a lot of) people are terrible? And that if Bluesky reaches X's scale, more or less the same toxic atmosphere is inevitably going to follow?

The moderation that Twitter had stemmed the tide a little, but it can only do so much.

Currently (re-)bingeing Brian’s BBC content like Universe and Solar System; they never fail to fascinate and I can’t recommend them enough.
I am going to start following people by the way - just getting started :-)

I’m going to start making hiring decisions based directly on a CSV showing who has fawned over me the most.

Who am I kidding, CSV, it’s a scribble on a McDonald’s napkin at best.

Fairly sure I walked past @alastaircampbell2.bsky.social at Paddington this morning, only realising it so late that I’d have had to huff and puff my way to him in order to thank him for his wonderful podcast. Opted against it for all manner of reasons.

Thanks, Alastair (and Rory).

Well, I wasn’t expecting to get such an uplift from a WotD post today.
Good morning.

Word of the Day is as beautiful as it is underused. ‘Confelicity’ is finding joy in the happiness and success of others.
