To all you Republicans mocking older people like me who turned out for the No Kings rallies: Thanks so much for motivating me to go out and cast my vote today for Mamdani for Mayor in NYC.

I'm blocking all these official federal govt accounts which are just trolling and spewing weird propaganda. I hope I can unblock them someday when the country returns to normal.

ZERO arrests at No Kings in NYC. (And the NYPD isn’t notorious for being sympathetic with people anti-Trump.)

This proves what shameless liars Speaker Mike Johnson & Karoline Leavitt are to slander the participants as violent anarchists.

I couldn't get down to the big one in Times Square, but hit one in my neighborhood in the Bronx. Well over a thousand people at the Riverdale No Kings. Usually rallies are 109, 150 people there

That Tesla logo reminds me of the 3D model of a woman's reproductive system in my gynecologist's exam room.

Talking to a friend at an event and we were both saying we had no plans to leave the country during this Administration, in case they wouldn't let us back in. We're both American-born, non-Hispanic. I felt validated someone else thought our govt would absolutely prevent Americans from reentry

This cruel Administration poses even more risks to immigrants friendly nonprofits than it does to for profit business. A funder in NYC told us some nonprofits offering Know Your Rights workshops are being threatened with loss of tax exempt status. Which would kill their agency

A view from my bedroom window yesterday in Chestertown, NY. Spring was a long time coming this year.

NY's legal weed stores reflect the beautiful melting pot that is NY. As I'm waiting for my husband outside (he has a med card,) a very old white guy in Bermuda shorts and knee socks, a young black guy in urban chic and a Latina somewhere in between in a business suit all went in to shop

Is fascination with true crime a thing with 20-somethings, or is it just my daughter? She is oddly knowledgeable about notorious and mysterious crimes and I'm wondering where she gets it from.

Got this email from Social Security. Because of a TRO, the Acting Commissioner says "Therefore, I am not shutting down the agency".

If it weren't for DEI, there would be very few men working for me. My workforce was overwhelmingly women, including all of the senior staff leadership. I said, we need to be more purposeful in seeking out and promoting men so we could have a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

Yaay, the miniseries Long Bright River dropped on Peacock! It's based on a great mystery novel by Liz Moore set in Kensington in Philly.

GovExec reports today that Homeland Security is cancelling translation services for callers inquiring about their immigration status. If the employee doesn't understand the caller's language, they are instructed to just hang up even if they have a colleague who does understand the language.

I'm getting a lot of recruitment ads for Peace Corps Volunteers through my Facebook feed. I love the Peace Corps and am a former volunteer, but it is hard to see how welcoming these host countries might be at present to Americans with our recent actions devastating to international development.

These people are all so spineless.
Rep Nicole Malliotakis represents Staten Island in Congress. One in three of her constituents receives health care through Medicaid.

She voted LAST NIGHT to cancel the health insurance of 264,000 of her OWN constituents.

She's betraying the voters that sent her to Congress.
