"getting outside your bubble" is an admirable thing when it means trying a new hobby or introducing yourself to your neighbor or watching an art film but people only want to apply it to "being a little more racist just to see how it feels"

I mentioned only a fortnight ago in the run up to the move, I road tested the PS5 with my first play in at least a decade of the Mass Effect trilogy and my word, I’ve missed this galaxy of characters far more than I thought. Already 20+ hours into 3 again. So much of the trilogy remains just sublime

Almost done with packing for the move, thank Christ. As a bonus, No Other Choice is playing at my local this weekend which I’m hoping to double with Primate. Surely as trashy horror that has to be marginally more entertaining than that crock of shit Silent Hill film.

So, even with lowered expectations and my soft spot for trashy video game films…that new Silent Hill was an almost total bust. Revelations from 2012 at least had some real goofball set-pieces. Bear in mind, I’m one of the five folk who enjoyed the last Resident Evil film. Poor show Gans, poor show.

Again, not one to comment on the Oscars but once again I can safely say I’ve seen….only one of the Best Picture nominees. Sinners to be fair. I still need to make time for Del Toro’s Frankenstein. One Battle After Another I’m still feeling apathetic towards bothering with. The rest? Big shrug.
