Demand that your Dem senators call on Schumer to step aside: indivisible.org/resource/cal...

Senators say they kept Schumer “in the loop,” which in DC means “we told him, & he froze.” Now he’s pretending to be shocked. Like a guy holding a gas can yelling, “Who started the fire?” We don’t need safe hands, Chuck. We need knuckles. Chuck is not meeting the moment. He needs to be replaced now!
This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

With millions of Americans stuck in food-stamp limbo, healthy foods are a luxury now more than ever, Nicholas Florko argues:
Americans on Food Stamps Have No Good Options
America has a lifeline against hunger: ultra-processed foods.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Beautifully sad. And still unbelievable that it’s happening here. Praying this is the biggest protest in history.
"Authoritarianism, it's a cancer. The symptoms are here, today... We thought it couldn't happen here... and now the disease is growing, metastasizing in America. But there is a cure—it requires you. On October 18, Americans will stand up, peacefully, for what makes America, America." nokings.org

If this country was truly “pro-life,” we would have Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, gun reform, universal child care, and a living wage.

The right-wing agenda isn’t about “life.”

It’s about control.

Talarico: if you read the new testament, Jesus doesn't spend most of his time preaching or teaching or even praying. He spends most of his time healing the sick.

Right now, we have politicians in congress with Christ follower in their Twitter bio, but they are kicking the sick off their health care

They really need to start naming the mass shootings after Republican members of Congress.

Watch closely: before the evidence is in, the political accusations will start flying. Because why address root causes when you can put on another episode of America’s favorite rerun?

It’s our turn to be a problem-solving generation. The suffragists did it. The abolitionists did it. The civil rights workers did it. Now it’s our turn.

It thrives when we show up.

Here are 5 simple, powerful ways to protect it:
✅ Vote in every election
🗣️ Speak up in community spaces
⚠️ Challenge disinformation

It’s been 15+ years (since 2007) since Rep. Ken Calvert held a real, in-person town hall. Scripted calls aren’t enough. CA-41 deserves honest, face-to-face dialogue.

Will he show up during August Recess or keep hiding?

Congress just recessed early, which means Rep #KenCalvert is back in #CA41 with extra time.

As a Corona constituent, I’m calling on him to host an in-person town hall before returning to D.C. in September. We deserve transparency and direct dialogue.

🗳️ Civic engagement doesn’t take recess.

I’m a CA-41 voter from Corona calling on Rep. Ken Calvert to:
1. Release the Epstein files
2. Demand the resignations of Bondi & Patel
3. Hold public DOJ/FBI oversight hearings

Weaponizing justice is a threat to democracy.

I’m a constituent from #CA41, living in #CoronaCA, urging #KenCalvert to fight for the K–12 funds Congress already approved. Withholding billions in school funding hurts over 400,000 students in #RiversideCounty. Our kids can’t wait.

As a District 41 resident, I’m urging Rep. Ken Calvert to support legislation requiring law enforcement to show ID & agency affiliation. Our diverse, immigrant-rich community deserves transparency and accountability—especially during ICE raids. #CA41 #RiversideCounty
