The AI app, which MS has forced upon me, has “suggested” that a 17 page chapter “appears to be a long document” and that I should “save time by reading a summary.” Does this feeble instrument know they are talking to an academic trained to read 100+ pages/day?

Israel has dropped more bombs in Gaza than fell on London, Dresden & Hamburg combined during WWII [𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘴].

Read that & consider that Gaza is, on average, only 5 miles wide & 25 miles in length.

Life expectancy has dropped from 75.5 years in 2023 to 40.6 years now [𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘵].

Genocide.

Badar never imagined that a country with a Scholars at Risk program would one day pose a risk to scholars, he told me.
NEW: The detention of Georgetown University postdoctoral fellow Badar Khan Suri parallels the cases of Mahmoud Khalil and Rumeysa Ozturk. His colleague Nader Hashemi reflects for @newlinesmag.bsky.social on his recent visit with Suri in an ICE facility in Texas.

Canadian-made arms reach Israel via the USA, despite Liberal promises to halt that.

Enough is enough. We need a real arms embargo.

End Canada's complicity in genocide.

The US promoted and funded the separation of South Sudan from Sudan and claimed it was necessary to give security for Sudanese Christians. Now they are shipping all South Sudanese back to the control of a regime they themselves consider unreliable. Everyone is just a pawn in their game.
