I was cautiously optimistic for Fantastic Four First Steps and I really really enjoyed it. I don't know if it's because I have a toddler, but I got emotional.

The guy out of Future Islands is an enigmatic performer for sure, but given how good his voice sounds on their records, I don't get why he does all that nonsense growling & weird breathing & just generally making the songs sound worse (vocally) live.

Knowing nothing about the 1975, beyond their singer's apparently justified reputation for being obnoxious, I'm surprised at how forgettable their songs are. Couldn't tell you anything about a single song from watching an hour of them.
