The socialist revolution is made by the revolutionary proletariat, whose organized movement is the Communist Party, along with the rest of working and oppressed masses that follow them. And the Communist Party cannot be reduced to its top leaders, I think that's the essence of the matter.

I guess it's just for the sake of revivifying the active role of the workers under the DotP, but you're forgetting to mention the role of the Bolshevik Party and its Marxist-Leninist guiding ideology in all this. The workers did that under the guidance of M-L, its revolutionary party and its plan.
