This joint #PrimaryCare & #endocrinology #QI project aimed to ⬆️ access to continuous glucose monitoring (#CGM) for patients w/ type 2 #diabetes using insulin &receiving #Medicare in a community primary care setting. Were they successful?

Curious and not looking for a “right answer.”

What do you think is the difference between #tradition and “exclusionary privilege?” Is “tradition” by definition non-inclusive?

E.g. Med school grads can be hooded only by those w doctorate degrees.

7% of U.S. adults report having experienced racial/ethnic #discrimination in healthcare encounters—⬆️ among Black, Asian, and Hispanic individuals.~ 2/3 of Americans, especially Black & Hispanic, express mistrust in the US medical system.

Love when collaborating w colleagues ➡️change in #MedEd. This paper highlighted the need for us to do a better job teaching about caring for ppl w disabilities.

This year: an Ambulatory Half Day dedicated to the topic. Next year: do even better!
