🐸 Requests were made by Portland protestors last night for more costume donations, batteries, and PPE. I created an Amazon wishlist and can hand deliver anything purchased. Message me if there’s something not on the list I should add. And PLEASE SHARE! www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/...

I am happy to report that absolutely nowhere in Portland has burned to the ground in spite of Trump’s continued insistence today that it has. Instead of thinking maybe the info he has might be terribly outdated or just entirely wrong, Trump has now deployed California troops to come here instead. 🙄

Im in Portland. Waiting for judgement to drop that will either thwart the escalation of infringement on first amendment rights or allow putting our city squarely in the crosshairs of fascist retribution has me stressed to the point of crippling IBS. I’m not sure I can take 3.25 more years of this.
October 4, 2025 at 6:52 PM
This is fascism: “The Trump administration cited Sortor’s arrest Friday in a new threat to federal funding for the city: “I just spoke with the president about this, and he has directed his team here at the White House to begin reviewing aid that can potentially be cut in Portland.”

Today, Trump said US military should use Portland as “training grounds” and claimed it “looks like World War Two” here. Meanwhile, protestors were doing the Cha Cha Slide, enjoying tea, blowing bubbles and running around in inflatable chicken costumes. Not sure what kind of training he’s hoping for.

It’s completely blatant. This administration didn’t even wait to bring the cost of food and gas down before they went straight to racism & bigotry with a splash of misogyny mixed in for good measure.
The universe speaks in mysterious ways.

Trump fired everyone in charge of airplane safety, and a week later planes started crashing into each other. That never happened when Pete Buttigieg was Secretary of Transportation. 🤷‍♀️
Keep your messaging simple:

“Trump fired everyone in charge of airplane safety, and a week later planes started crashing into each other.”

That’s it. That’s the messaging. Don’t get bogged down disputing Trump’s false claims. Just blame him, in short and repeatable sentences.

“I would not have sat down with a murderous dictator like that.”

Tulsi Gabbard is unequivocally unqualified to serve as Director of National Intelligence.
Let us not forget Pete Buttigieg exposing Tulsi Gabbard’s love for Assad on national television.

This is why we need Pete in the Senate. He would shred at these confirmation hearings.

Fish tank status update! My Schrödinger danios do not exist outside of feeding time but this here is proof they sometimes exist. 🤣 It’s what I get for creating the perfect Java moss cave under the driftwood. Also… my male flagfish has gotten huge and is a bully to my now hiding blue ram cichlids. 😭

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

As sad as I am during all of this that we could have had Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, I am also old enough to be sad that we could have had Hilary Clinton and Tim Kaine. Am I saying they are perfect? Absolutely not. But they would have been FAR better for the country on the whole. 😥
Kaine: "The president has two Republican houses. If he wants to cut the budget, he's go majorities in both houses. He could just work with them to do it the lawful way...that he's not doing that means he doesn't have confidence that the GOP leadership will go along with the extremity of his actions"

My Oregon state senator @wyden.senate.gov and House represntative @repbonamici.bsky.social are here and post regularly. My governor @tinakotek.bsky.social has a profile but isn’t using it yet. Even press releases would be better than nothing. Republicans are SO loud... We need to get louder!! 🗣️
With Bluesky now at over 30 MILLION users, I can’t understand why so many Democratic elected officials still aren’t posting on this platform. Is it ignorance, incompetence, laziness, or something else?

They are throwing spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks. We can’t all fight all of it. Pick 2-3 issues you are passionate about and stay focused. Call your senators, reps, & local orgs. Donate to ACLU if you can. Volunteer for a non-profit. And amplify the voices of those fighting. Don’t give up!
They’re testing. It wasn’t a “glitch” that turned off Medicaid portals. They’re seeing which things they can delete without a fight.

Vets benefits? Abuse shelters? Aid to children? Cancer research?

They don’t care who gets hurt. Just what they can get away with.

Keep. Fighting. Back.
