gonna add my 2cents into this it's also a specific demographic of players that exhibit this mean girls behaviour alot, ontop of those where FFXIV is their first and only MMO so you can tell they've had to prior etiquette elsewhere

This type of lighting needs to come back badly. It’s almost insane how much it helped set the mood for things like Batman TAS, Akira, NGE, Japans Cyberpunk Anime scene in the 80s/90s, Heavy Metal.
