You remember that unofficial OceanVeil survey I carried out? Thought I'd share the slides from my presentation. There's nothing private or confidential and I think getting this info out there would be good for everyone.
Writing, especially creative writing, is surprisingly difficult sometimes. An exaggerated example but it reminds me of that line from Futurama "It took an hour to write, I thought it would take an hour to read." It takes a while to write something that people will blitz through.

Art Direction vs. Technical Fidelity is a talking point in video games but one I think about is the shift from 2D to 3D in Ace Attorney and Zero Escape. It's not that they're bad but I prefer the 2D artwork. I appreciate Danganronpa V3 on that front since they resisted change.

If I think that a service that wants me to subscribe is not trying to improve itself beyond content then I feel far less inclined to actually subscribe. Content is only one aspect of a service but it's focused on these days to the detriment of other aspects.

It's weird in a way because we don't really have distinct portable systems anymore unless you count mobile. Makes me wonder what games that have only been released on handhelds before, like Ace Attorney, will look like if they get a new game since the technology is so different.

Final Fantasy XVI
Final Fantasy XVI is a serviceable hack and slash game, but lacks the RPG elements and identity of its predecessors. XVI aimed to evolve the franchise but it just ends up feeling generic instead.

I'm surprised by the little things YouTube is missing or has failed to address over the years. For instance, you can search their videos by runtime but the max provided is 20+ minutes. Why not an over 1 hour option? That would seem like a very helpful option in my view.

Underwhelmed by 100 Acre Woods in Kingdom Hearts 3. I know that 100 Acre Woods has been a divisive area in past titles but they felt like a lot of care was put into it. KH3's version felt throwaway in comparison, maybe something they felt obligated to do but didn't want to.

The economics of YouTube doesn't make any sense when you think about it. They pay so little that creators, particularly niche creators, have had to turn to third-party platforms in order to generate income. Ironically, this allows YouTube to make little to few changes.

While I appreciate an upgrade to the FF7 Steam version, why not include the original version as an extra? I always find that weird when they do that.

I do love the Ace Attorney franchise but I hate it, HATE IT, when they show you the killer at the beginning of a case. They did it in the first game and that was a little, just a little, forgivable because it was the first one. Weird how they later went back to doing that.

I wonder when the Heisei and Millennium era Godzilla movies are going to get rereleases. I know Biollante has been rereleased but I'm still unsure whether each film will get an individual release or if some of the films will be exclusive to a boxset.

I wonder if there's any correlation between the decline of OVAs and the drop in extreme content in anime? Whenever I think of the bloodiest, goriest ones, I find that many of them are OVAs.
