What do you call that mild Saturday evening panic that you get when remembering that tomorrow is Sunday?
That tomorrow is the last day of a two-day weekend, that you it know will be characterised by that usual existential dread ahead of a new Monday in the same meaningless 9to6? Know what I mean?

The Pelicot case is boosting women's organizing, for very good reasons. But why are so few men getting organized when it comes to fighting gendered violence? Why do so few guys get up in arms about rape and femicide?

That numbing feeling of having earned my survival for another day on this planet by doing something absolutely irrelevant for 8 long hours.

Institutions tortured women for centuries, accusing them of witchcraft. When belief in magic waned, it was framed as persecution of pagans. A narrative lasting till today. Without honest reckoning with our past, we cannot understand today nor heal for the future.

If you’d asked me just a year ago about the history of the witch hunts, I wouldn’t have had much to say. I didn't realise how it affected gender roles definition in society. And if I didn’t know about it, I wondered, how many like me were unaware of its lasting effects on our misogynistic society?
