Just got a 650mb .psd file from a client, which basically only has a few gradients and vectors in it...what the hell Photoshop? 🤦‍♂️

My app (Dockey) gets featured in blogs and youtube videos from time to time and in response I get a flow of new users and I always have to search the web where the hell they came from 😅

It is a reealy nice validation to be featured though! Gives me motivation to create more fun stuff 😊

I'm explaining to my dog about deadlines and why I need him to chill out.

He is.. not as receptive as I'd hope to this conversation.

Is there really no way to see what's playing next when you start a station from a song on Apple Music?

It's crazy to not have some kind of a queue like Spotify does this where I could remove tracks I'm particularly in the mood for...

Been replying to these fake domain name inquiries over email with just straight up a random offer for me to sell them the domain for 1 BTC just to throw them a bone 😄

This is Max. He snuck out in the middle of the night and walked 5 miles to get a breakfast burrito from a store that gave him one once. They hadn't opened yet when he got there, but Max was found the next morning thanks to his GPS collar patiently waiting outside for his well-earned snack. 14/10

Only 5 missing from a round 2000 of downloads since I’ve added to Dockey to Gumroad.

Roughly 3% of the people actually spend some $ and I’m super happy about that, since it’s a tiny tool you probably use once when you setup your mac 😊

Huh, that's quite a price hike, but somehow didn't expect less from Ad*be 🤑🤑🤑

Instant buy! I got to hang out with a bunch of the people in the book last year at Naive Yearly and can’t thank Kristoffer enough for organizing the event.

We need more of this, not just design for the sake of profits but for the art, poetry, weirdness and plain hanging out with creative people.

What are you making with an >400MB update, an “everything app” 🫠

Can't wait for some of the stuff coming to Figma (looking at you Grids) but I can't not think how all of this will affect the performance.

For example, my Intel based MBP can run Ableton 12 with 30+ plugins without breaking a sweat...but I already can't even design in 30fps (it's less) in Figma...

I still think that my most loved feature from Sketch was dragging the export preview anywhere and it would just give you an png.

Kinda hate that I have to export from Figma any time I want to show someone a quick preview of what I’m working on…even though it can show me an preview already?

It seems like Tiny (or whoever had it last) finally let go of the designernews.co domain and of course now it's just a pile of ads...

I still kinda miss the community from there, it was fun for a while and then they just lost interest and it was overrun with bots

I know this is a long shot, but do I have someone in my network from Berlin?

One of my university design students is applying to companies/studios for an Erasmus internship after the summer and has a hard time getting any responses. If anyone works at a place that accepts interns, please ping me ✌️

I don’t have auto update turned on for apps on my phone, just to preserve some decision on the features they provide (or remove).

Todays example: Updated Instagram after 6ish months, only to get a degraded experience from now on with unstoppable ads, pefrect…

Lately I've been designing the most complex thing I've had the opportunity to.
It's quite hard to focus with having to know so much information that I mostly start the day in a kind of a creative black hole, not knowing where to even start.
And no, splitting tasks doesn't always help 🫠
