Giving this another boost—
Not a half bad start! Over the course of 20-odd minutes it mostly establishes itself. The specter of Super Sentai hangs over it (and will continue to for a while) as does the influence of modern Rider. But overall it does a good job of being its own thing, or at least showing promise of becoming it.

I think my first-ever glimpse was a photo of Jetman, but Dairanger was where Sentai became a regular part of my life, a constant companion to whatever Ultra and Rider coverage I was buying Televi-Mag/Kun/Land for. I figured it would rest some day, but still, what a run. "Go!"

-Great to see it. Maybe an easy choice for the film project, but a welcome one
-I have mixed feelings about not using “Kamen Rider” in the title, but if they do a thing where Shoichi finally says it right at the end before we smash cut to the credits, I’ll give them a pass

As is now tradition, I went to the Kamen Rider Store on New Year’s Day, when they debut a bunch of new merchandise. It’s mostly the Reiwa Riders, but there is a limited-time tote bag with the Showa guys’ logos (and inside, a T-shirt with the Heisei footprints and jumbo badge with Zeztz and Nox).
