Tackling wildlife crime means tackling organised crime❗

Wildlife crime offenders are involved in other serious crimes:
💥 59% linked to violence
💰 58% linked to theft or criminal damage
🐇 For poaching and hare coursing, that rises to over 70%
🚨 27% have links to domestic violence

We can’t afford to weaken National Park protections ⚠️

But there are rumours that some in Westminster want to remove the Protected Landscapes duty - the only real power to secure action for nature

We can't let 30 years of campaigning go down the drain

Defending the Protected Landscapes Duty
We were successful in strengthening the law to mandate public bodies in England to take action for National Parks and Landscapes. Now we must defend it.

@hughfw.bsky.social opening the #WildSummitUK session on Source to Sea.
Highlighting the struggles of the European #eel during its long migration to our rivers, and the threats and filth it faces when it gets here really got the point across!

Sewage sludge spread on our farms is a covert route for chemical pollution, experts warn🚨

UK Government must ban PFAS-polluted sludge, & take action to cut down on all non-essential uses of these harmful chemicals🧪

Last summer saw up to 100,000 people march to #RestoreNatureNow & big nature promises made by politicians 📢

A year later, people are losing faith in Government’s ability to meet nature targets 🥀

We need action to turn things round🌱
