Got my Bluesky feed displayed live on my 40 year old Apple IIc by wiring it directly to the server running the #indietechfeed and configuring the computer as a terminal!

Alright, Pocket Bird is about to head out of beta! Grab the current beta using TamperMonkey here and if I don't find any new bugs in the next day or two, I'm going to submit it as a Chrome and Firefox extension!

This little bird program that hops around your web browser has been one of the most difficult things I have ever had to code solely due to inconsistencies in Safari iOS 26 versus other browsers. Like what do you mean you can't render fixed content on the bottom quarter of the screen anymore?!

One of my friends suggested tumblr so going to add that too. Also considering adding a way for users to insert custom javascript for generating the usernames so that you can do things like hit custom APIs. Imagine a username that changes with the weather, your Spotify activity, etc.
