I tried to watch that Bondi hearing and didn't last more than 2 minutes. It's triggering in so many ways, but especially to my 15-year-old self, who had to deal with Mean Girls like her constantly. I hope she gets everything she wishes for others, plus a little lagniappe.

Having a mini-blizzard has its upsides. Living next to a highway, the roads are empty and the silence is wonderful. Snow is gorgeous.

Walked into a soul food restaurant last week, not knowing what I was getting myself into. It was a little dated, rough around the edges, and they had a sign that said "fried Kool-Aid". I ordered the potato salad. I didn't have to ask who made it. I knew the aunties were in the kitchen!!
