Some impressions from our IDEoPOP Kick-off Conference on the international dimensions and effects of #populism held @uni-freiburg.de on 17-19 September. The entire network met in person for the first time for an inspiring mix of poster sessions by our doctoral candidates, panels, and roundtables.

This week, I attended @ideopop.bsky.social first conference at @uni-freiburg.de. There, important scholars within the field of #populism came together to present their work. For the first time, I presented my research as well, with a poster that you can see here.

IDEoPOP is at the Italian Political Science Association annual conference! Today, @sdestradi.bsky.social and @khayyamrza.bsky.social co-chaired two panels on the international consequences of #populism

Today, I could finally collect my copies of our Routledge #Handbook of #Populism and #ForeignPolicy. I am so grateful to all our authors and to the best co-editors in the world: @achryssogelos.bsky.social and @davidcadier.bsky.social!

Yesterday, @fabrizio-coticchia.bsky.social and Francesco Baraldi presented their ongoing research on rebellious behavior in legislative voting and defence policy in our IDEoPOP colloquium. Super interesting discussions about the possible role of populism in this!
