Assuming that both managers stay in post until the end of the season, who finishes higher….us or Forest?

As another poster commented, Dyche would have got slaughtered by the fanbase for saying this.

Not been a good week for the “Moyesiah”…
David Moyes on Everton's Carabao Cup exit "I've moved on really quickly, got my head on the league games coming up and can't do anything about it now so no point discussing it, really" #EFC

Poor David Moyes.

He’s got 2 centre forwards who are absolutely last.

42 Premier League goals scored last season (4th lowest in the league) and of our 9 Summer signings only 2 of them get in the starting XI and neither of them offer goals.

Interesting to see how this season plays out…. 👀

Made up for the 2 wins and signs we are much easier on the eye but we’ve also ridden our luck undoubtedly….

Ornella Vignola is the first #EFC player of any gender to score a hat-trick against Liverpool since Dixie Dean in September 1931.

We’ve got some nice footballers now but need much more potency and ruthlessness in front of goal.

I reckon Moyes will hope we can sort another centre forward somehow for him before the deadline 🤞🏻

Re: Mainoo.

Asked a match going Utd fan I know who loves him what his highlights/attributes were:

Scored a few memorable goals.
“Technical” player (I view that as in he’s good at sideways passes).
“Brilliant on the half turn” (me neither).
Not very athletic or mobile.

The Man Utd Tom Davies?😬

Great start to life in our new home 🏟️

Thought it was the cliched game of 2 halves. Lady Luck with us in the first half with them hitting bar, post and Welbeck missing a sitter.

2nd half much better. KD-H & Gana came into the game. Grealish plays the game at his own tempo 👌🏻

Moyes first 20 PL games:

First 6 games:

W 4
D 1
L 1

Goals for = 12
Goals against = 6

Last PL 14 games:

W 4
D 6
L 4

Goals for = 15
Goals against = 14

We got a 6 game bounce & then have since gone back to what this squad is i.e. 1 goal a game

That level of scoring usually = approx 40 points

Much better than that one recently that said Evertonians were optimistic…

“Undercooked” is a common phrase that often dominates the conversation in the first few games of Everton’s campaign most seasons.

Is it more just a polite way of saying nothing has really changed and we’re still absolutely last comparatively to most?

🤔

2 weeks to get “40 point comfortable” otherwise we’re in for yet another slog and battle.

The novelty of a new stadium about to get severely tested if we can’t bring in the minimum required to make this team capable of creating and scoring enough to keep us away from danger.
August 19, 2025 at 7:35 AM
Think about the team currently.

Fullbacks who cannot attack, overlap and create

Immobile CM’s that can’t progress the ball or offer incisive forward passes

All attacking responsibility therefore left to the 3 behind the attacker & they’re largely one paced dribblers

Forwards who are v limited

🥴

Interesting fan perception on here.

If Dyche had delivered that performance he’d be crucified 👀

Our squad spend comparatively against the rest…..👀

Newcastle wide men Elanga and Barnes full of pace and power here. For me that’s exactly the profile we need in the right winger.

Grealish and NDiaye both dribblers/ball huggers.

Asking this question again for those that have watched him properly.

Is Dibling different to what we have?
Just a thought:

Ndiaye - ball hugger and dribbler
Grealish - ball hugger and dribbler
Dibling - ball hugger and dribbler

Are we about to repeat the Summer of 17/18 when we bought all those No.10’s who all did the same thing?

The squad was in such a dire place at the start of the Summer due to the sheer numbers we’d lost that the majority of what we’ve brought in so far is developmental/filler.

Still haven’t properly addressed the glaring issue that counts if progress is to be made.
August 15, 2025 at 7:49 AM
The Bobble stating we are very open to adding another striker. Yessssssss. We absolutely need it 🙌🏻

Dibling deal still on the table (as we know) and club trying but no change in circumstances.

We know what it would take to sign Hutchinson from Ipswich but haven’t taken it any further as yet.

He is rather injury prone isn’t he?

Leeds United have reached an agreement in principle to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a free agent after his departure from Everton.
