Battery electric vehicles (#BEVs) remain the single most important tool for car manufacturers to reduce CO2 emissions. ✅

In 2024, 9 out of 10 major manufacturer pools relied on BEVs, and to a lesser extent plug-in hybrids, to meet their CO2 targets.

🚗 Our European car market monitor is now available.

In November, BEVs reached a 23% market share, the highest level in 2 years.

🏭 For the first time in 2025, European car manufacturers’ average monthly CO₂ emissions fell below their next regulatory target.
