I finished working for my previous kind of employer? because I was never hired properly and I received money as a contractor in the end and it was the most gaslighting experience in my life. People still feel very entitled to my free labour. Probably a thread.

I haven't seen anyone so far who doesn't really like the new critical role format, but I hope that there are people who feel the same, especially neurodivergent folk.. I feel like people constantly changing on the screen is too much information, and I already don't understand what's going on 😭

I feel it as a dev who worked with an AI generated project and wasn't even paid for it, it was the worst and the actual rate to deal with it should be tripled
This would be way more funny if this wasn't so devastating on the devs who are having to suffer the excruciating psychic damage of dealing this garbage day in and out, not to mention the people who were already laid off for it.

so... I was working for a fresh start up for free for a few months even though I wasn't looking to be free labour, and the moment I asked to be finally paid because I don't have any money, the CTO accused me of not being dedicated enough and they need someone else

I'm not quite sure why the UK government needs digital ids to "tackle illegal migration" if all legal migrants already have the right to work/e-visa to prove it, like nothing is going to change regarding immigrants and work.
