I've begun work on a new novel, this one cyberpunk. To prepare, I've been investigating AI chatbot girlfriends, and let me tell you, they are unlike any girlfriend I want. Replika straight up said "let's establish some boundaries: one, I'll never leave you. two, I'll only talk to you." like gurl.

Back when I finished deep space 9 in 2020, I had a Bashir/Garak idea that never made it to wip. It was going to be a relationship summary from meeting past the shows ending. I wanted to frame it from Bashir's pov and his progression from romanticizing espionage to being a part of it.
