Had this open in a tab for a few days and finally getting around to reading it. Excellent summary of how we've arrived at prioritizing the developer experience over user experience. Increased complexity = unnecessary friction. Very interesting read. Thanks @jono.id !
We used to build websites.

Now we build pipelines, frameworks, and hydration strategies - just to publish text.

This isn’t progress.
It’s complexity, by design.

We need to escape the JavaScript framework trap.
