I'm glad the President is finally acknowledging that affordability isn’t a hoax – whether it's housing, healthcare, groceries, or utilities. In Maryland, we didn't wait for permission to act.

When I served the nation in uniform with the United States Army, my oath was to the Constitution – not to any president. And certainly not to an under-qualified Secretary of Defense.

This is yet another example of the President’s baseless rhetoric putting our people and our democracy at risk.

This announcement shows how we’re successfully leaning into areas where Maryland’s uniquely positioned to lead – and bringing in billions of dollars in investments and hundreds of jobs while doing so.
That’s the kind of success we’ll continue driving in our second term.
