Elon Musk could get a trillion-dollar payout while 42 million Americans watched their turn into SNAP benefits political pawns during the government shutdown. That’s not a system, that’s a moral collapse.

No matter how hard people try to convince us having empathy is wrong,

it is right.

No matter how hard people try to convince us that diversity is a weakness,

it is a strength.

No matter how hard people try to convince us that love is limited,

it is unlimited.

“There’s too many Americans on SNAP!”

Yes there are. Too many corporations refuse to pay a living wage.

Huge companyies are encouraging their employees to apply for SNAP because they don’t pay them enough to survive.

The government encourages this & then blames the poor.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 5: Vito Marcantonio

There are many who dismiss our vision for New York as impossible. To them, I say we need look only to our past for proof of how we can shape the future.

Tomorrow is Election Day. And this is the final Until It's Done of our campaign.

Many think poverty is an individual failure, but it’s really a societal one. It’s a shared responsibility we keep avoiding

The irony is that wealth is treated as individual success, even though it depends on society itself

Wealth reveals the nature of our own humanity & #UBI becomes a moral right

Can’t wait for the next Sims expansion pack! I hear it’ll have a plantation home template, a ton of new nazi memorabilia, a trad wife aspiration track, and you can date children! But it will delete all your other expansion packs

Mutual aid is an absolutely important tool for community care and instills a practice of collective care disrupting individualism

But it’s not sustainable unless it becomes massively mainstream in practice and massive upper class start distributing to many many individuals.

No one should face financial ruin because they got sick or needed medical care.

Healthcare is a basic human right.

These premium increases will ruin people.

It will put people on the streets.

It will end lives.

It will cause more disability.

To all the people staying silent in the face of 40 million Americans losing SNAP… shame on you. Speak up

Being poor, disabled or homeless is not a moral failing

These are minority groups you can join any time

It’s not something you can “try harder” your way out of

We need support & solidarity

Do you know about @solofunds?
It allows you to loan funds to people in need with a 2 week payback period.

6 months ago I put in $100, and since then it’s contributed almost $800 to people and you know what? I have $119 still.

It helps people avoid credit card debt, and predatory loans.

As someone who’s financially secure, and can feed myself, pay my bills, and treat myself to occasional wants and has family stability…anyone who is in this position now is a growth opportunity to be deeply reflecting and asking yourself what more can you give to help others?

Food is not a luxury, it’s necessary for survival.

Things will fall apart when folks can’t feed themselves or their families.

Many don’t even know they won’t be receiving their SNAP.

This is a systemic problem. We have to fix it together.

We need to warn people. Scale up food donations. Prepare.

🔥🔥🔥 I would love to see a wealth cap of $30M that redistributes that wealth into a UBI Fund
Our member Scott Ellis says what too few are willing to: when wealth becomes power, democracy suffers.

In his @time.com op-ed, he argues that taxing excessive wealth isn’t about punishing ambition, it’s about protecting democracy & giving everyone a fair shot. time.com/7325632/univ...
I'm a Millionaire. No One Needs More than $30 Million.
Setting a limit on wealth preserves opportunity for everyone, argues millionaire Scott Ellis.
