Stephen Miller says they are “actively looking at” suspending the writ of habeas corpus, which is only allowed when the US has been invaded or during an insurrection, which would not allow people to challenge their incarceration in court if they are arrested and detained.

Arresting judges. Disappearing people. Punishing law firms. The Supreme needs to come down on him like a ton of judicial bricks now, not later, when it could be too late. Authoritarians get more dangerous the longer they are accommodated.

Former governor Inslee is not having any of this. We agree, and think it's time to start planning for what Oregon and Washington will do to increase autonomy if this gets worse. #Cascadia
