I’ve seen firsthand how a single breakthrough can change a patient’s life. The Cancer AI Alliance is designed to bring more of those breakthroughs to more patients and make even a greater difference.

Since he came to @fredhutch.bsky.social 17 years ago, Dr. Milano has worked to establish cord blood transplant as a viable and successful alternative to traditional autologous or allogeneic bone marrow transplant. For those who don’t have many other options, it is truly lifesaving science.
Dr. Filippo Milano recently received the inaugural Endowed Chair in Cord Blood Research at Fred Hutch. The unrestricted funding will help grow Fred Hutch’s #CordBloodTransplant Program so that ‘every patient has a donor.’ Read more: bit.ly/4j9gl1i

As I reflect on my five-year journey as President and Director of @fredhutch.bsky.social, I’m incredibly proud of the strides we’ve made and excited for what’s ahead. I’m grateful for the insights of our 280 faculty members and 5,600 employees who help bring our shared mission to life.
