It’s nighttime and Blitz is in the foreground, back mostly to the viewer as he looks down the path he’s standing on. The arm of his cropped jacket has been ripped off, and he’s holding on to his bleeding arm with a cloth tied around it. His tail winds around his leg in uncertainty. At the end of the path, in the middle ground, is Stolas kneeling in the grass planting things in front of his stone cottage. He has on overalls and a purple T-shirt, and he’s using magic to keep a flame going above him for light to see what he’s doing. His sigil is glowing on the cottage porch. The crown, initial F, and salamander engulfed in flames are emblematic of François I, who reigned from 1515 to 1547.
Considered impervious to fire, the salamander symbolized the king's constancy and integrity as a ruler. Carved in wood or stone, variations on this device figured prominently in the decoration of François's châteaux, including Fontainebleau and Chambord.
