We need a short story about a malevolent fruitcake, @stephenking.bsky.social ... (or does the fruit pie in Thinner already tick the box...I do believe it might).
I thought "Good Thing," by the Fine Young Cannibals, was actually "Fruitcake." The song goes "Good Thing, where have you gone?" And I thought it was "Fruitcake! What have you done?"
Okay.
Just wanted to get that off my chest.

If you played an instrument back in high school and stopped: we are in a golden age of decent cheap instruments.

The guitars are better, the amps are better. The pedals are cheaper, the wind instruments are actually instruments and not just shaped like them, etc.

Jump back into it.

The debut from The Housemartins aka ‘the fourth best band in Hull’ is a wonderful pop album, but of course, once you start peeling back the layers, you discover Paul Heaton’s wit and biting lyrics about class disparity and economic hardship. Outstanding from start to finish #MusicSky

Fantastic turn-out last Saturday at Waterstones from many of Mrs. Wilson’s Children - the ‘Great bands of Hull’ who started out supporting some of the best bands in the country at the legendary Welly Club. Brilliant book from Kari Brown #Hull
