ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

"You Have Arrived in Hell": New Evidence Confirms Torture of Deported Venezuelans in El Salvador
A new HRW report confirms what I warned about in March: Venezuelans deported to El Salvador were systematically tortured. Half had no criminal record. Many were asylum seekers. We paid for this.

Federal Border Patrol agents are expected to expand their operations in North Carolina on Tuesday to include Raleigh, the state capital, local officials said. It's the latest escalation of President Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration, which has targeted Democratic-run cities.

Agents are expected to be active in the Raleigh area on Tuesday, though the scope of the immigration crackdown in the state’s Research Triangle region was not immediately clear.

Thrilled to get my hands on @bethlewwilliams.bsky.social's incredible new book.

Beth is not only a brilliant scholar but also a ridiculously evocative writer and one of the most thoughtful humans I know.

Also understanding how state and local govs regulated migrant lives is kind of important 🤷‍♀️

Reading over the text, one thing sticks out immediately: it is incredibly racist toward Haitians in particular. Quoting directy: "Additionally, hundreds of thousands of illegal Haitian aliens flooded into the United States during the Biden Administration. This influx harms American communities..."
NEW: Here is the travel ban. We're doing a full analysis now, but some quick takeaways:

- All visas banned for 12 countries, and all immigrant visas and all B1/B2, F, M, and J visas for 7 others.
- Does not apply to anyone with a current valid visa already.
- Exempts immediate relatives.

WHOA. Trump will strip Temporary Protected Status from thousands of AFGHANS, at a time when the Taliban is fully in control of the country and carrying out total oppression.

If any country deservers TPS, it's obviously Afghanistan! We're going to send women back there to be treated as property?

Even if you accept the premise and decision, which I absolutely do not, it is the simplest thing to phone the visa holder, tell them their visa is revoked and say they have a month to leave the country. Accosting someone on the street like a kidnapping is just a spectacle of terror.
Marco Rubio on Rumeysa Ozturk: "We revoked her visa ... once you've lost your visa, you're no longer legally in the United States ... if you come into the US as a visitor and create a ruckus for us, we don't want it. We don't want it in our country. Go back and do it in your country."
