I write often about how private equity is destroying US healthcare. Lina Khan is a rare person who has used her position in power to fight back against private equity’s hold on the US economy. Very excited to see what she does in New York.
If you don’t know Lina Khan, now is a great time to know about her. She’s now on Zohran Mamdani’s transition team. She’s also the former FTC Chair, only 36, & committed to leveling the playing field for everyday Americans. She is an absolute star. This is what hope feels like.

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:
1. Create a new $15B science fund
2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada
3. Immediate permanent residency
4. Citizenship after 2 years
Overnight a science superpower

One big problem with AI LLMs is that they don't know what they don't know. If the only publicly available information about a shady company comes from that shady company's own website, the LLM will simply spit out the website's favorite PR talking points no matter what you ask it.
