Bad at bios. She/Her/Mom, love my little family. Love nature. Love Jesus, reconstructing, witchy stuff too. Love dogs. Love coffee. Love Queso. Love people. Astrology is cool. Climate Change is real. So is Bigfoot.
How can you tithe $10,000 (yes $10k) per month and then get pissed about your tax dollars doing the things Jesus called us to do?

“You don’t get rich spending your money!” Yet, they’re so happy their tithes over decades have helped a church to break ground on a big, fancy building.

I bought a cheap walking pad for the incline, higher max speed, and ability to tuck it away.

Well… now it trips out when I wanna go faster than 2.6mph and cranks all the way to 7mph. I start my walks at 3mph and start jogging at 3.8/4… so now I have to walk very slow or run really fast. Moog.

40yo here. Haven’t owned a home yet. We have no debt, though 😅
On a week where the median age of a first-homebuyer rose to 40 for the first time ever. 🤡

Getting sent to TX next year. Sad because we really love Savannah and want more time to explore all the islands and travel around the east coast. FFS, we just got here! But… tell me, Texans, what do you love about TX? We’ll be somewhere between Austin and Waco.

Just as I start to pick up a book more often, I got invited to a join a book club! I was kind of scared to put myself put there in this new place but I have been met with warmth and genuine vibes. You ever scared to try and make new friends at 40?
Can’t say I’ve ever stayed up late to read a book outside in November. Dig it.

I was really craving that Crunchwrap Supreme tonight after eating clean for 3mo. Didn’t need to make it taste dirty and have nearly nothing in it but a soggy tostada that tasted like a floor may taste.

Guess that’s what I get for caving on a craving.

* I was juggling what was not mine to carry *

3 years of therapy and 1,400 miles ago I was carrying too much. I put it all down. I don’t want to be everything anymore. I just want to be me.

Do you think that Christians who woke up feeling anxious and afraid of how Zohran Mamdani's personal beliefs might influence how he wields the power of office will ever pause and think "Hmmm maybe non-Christians feel this way about Christians in power using their faith to inform their politics"?

It’s been a minute since I’ve logged on but… Autumn in Savannah has been beautiful.

@quirkypastor.bsky.social… THIS BOOK IS INCREDIBLE. I can’t decide which story is my favorite and most left me wanting more about each of them. I plan to go back through and read the Bible verses and learn more history… and more about myself. 100/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Almost got slammed by a MAGA monster truck w/Trump & guns & crosses because he didn’t like the fact that I didn’t get in the left lane for a “right lane ends” sign (lane didn’t end, crews didn’t take down the sign). Well… he got pulled over and I got to continue down the road with an ego 😝 LAW&ORDER

Living in a red state… sure am happy that girl’s ped and the peds ED were curious about her vaccination status the second we called/arrived and relieved to know she’s fully immunized.

P.S. Peds office and ED are all masking!!!

P.S.S. Girl is fine. Busted her lip open on the playground.

County next door is pissed about property taxes. Complains about public schools, crowded roadways, not enough traffic signals, and too few LEOs. But doesn’t want more taxes of any kind and then reminds people to sign up for the tax credit for taxpayer dollars to follow kids to private schools. 🤡

Sermon today was 🔥. Like… light. Not brimstone.

God doesn’t want us to run from the darkness. He wants us to invade it.

Be like Jesus, love him, love others, and serve both. Each of us are no more important or holy than the other. Unity.

Tybee Island is such a treasure. Met a local while in the water… neck deep sifting for sand dollars with my feet. He helped me nab a starfish. So sad we have to move next year. Military life… shucks.

Yo! I made some potential friends today 😭 4 women asked me for my number after the PTA meeting and my subsequent volunteer duty. Like… maybe I will have a life outside if wife-ing and mom-ing here 🥰

Why is ICE the first to respond to a dangerous work site (Hyundai plant in Ellabell) and not OSHA?

Because someone said undocumented workers were working in unsafe conditions. People have died.

FFS, America.

Some kind of home warranty inspection on Thursday, August 22 between 9am-5pm. So this means I gotta stay home for 2 days. You see the problem?

I should be waking up the Mr and kid to get ready for church but I don’t really feel like getting out of jammies today. The guilt (fear, shame) always creeps in. I know no one there will shame me or guilt-trip me (except myself) but this is the baggage I still have. Oof.

First time in my nearly 40yrs that I’ve had a boil water advisory. What gets me most is that I saw it scrolling FB. This should be like an Amber Alert. Got signed up for county alerts now. Grateful we have bottled water (which we rarely have on hand—but that will change!).
