Would you like to work for a church where kids are fully welcome, where noises that children make during worship are celebrated? Do you long to be a part of a community where LGBTQ people feel fully integrated into the community & congregational leadership?

This Sunday, August 31, is our final Alternative Gathering of the Summer. There will be NO GATHERING at 515 Woodford Street this week. We will be gathering 10am-12pm at Cassie Moon’s house for a picnic. Bring a dish to share or something to grill. It’s going to be a wondeful time of community.

This Sunday will not be a normal Sunday at HopeGateWay. We will not gather in the sanctuary to sing and pray. We will be outside engaging with our neighbors and building community together.

This is the first of three "alternative gathering" Sundays this Summer for the HopeGateWay Community.

Join us Sunday @10am to kick off our new series:
Undeterred: Stories of Resistance

We are starting with these fierce midwives, Shiprah & Puah, who stood divinely defiant because they had already borne witness to a truth greater than hate and fear-mongering.

Join us on Sunday, April 13 for our Palm Sunday Protest. We will remember Jesus' creative protest of riding a donkey into Jerusalem as a play on the upside down kinGdom he was proclaiming. We will join that movement and the one sweeping our nation and world as we protest on our little corner.

Calling pro-LGBTQ Christians and other people of faith! We are living in a terrifying time for trans people, as a virulent anti-trans political movement led by Christian Nationalists is sweeping the United States and threatening trans lives.

During this Season of Lent, instead of giving something up, how about adding some activities to bring beauty, kindness, and grounding for yourself and those around you? Try one of these each day of Lent, or pick one to do daily. You can do these as a family, with a friend, or on your own.

Keep the novocaine out of your wisdom teeth y'all.
Every window begs to be open
when a storm like this comes.
When the storm comes, dig seed holes in your heart.

Just some nice little art. Enjoy 🤍 🧵 (1/3)

Original words were from @deiloh who worded it loads better than I could. I just wanted to illustrate it and share for others. Check her out on Threads and Insta if you love art and hate what’s going on!
