Finch review: self care app, free version is great, ads only for its premium version. Decisions you make raising your bird develop their personality. I wish more parents put as much intention into raising their kids as I am with a digital bluebird. (Picture of digital bird in her bird house.)

Thank someone today. The internet makes it easy. An artist whose work comforted you, a teacher who inspired you, a friend who said the thing you needed to hear.

Odds are good their 2025 also sucks, and hearing from you will be a candle in their darkness.

Have you read any Tanith Lee?

I bought Red as Blood as a teenager, back when $2.50 was pricey for a paperback.

Gaiman’s continued revelations remind me of so many before:
Bill Cosby
Woody Allen
Marion Zimmer Bradley
Orson Scott Card
Joss Whedon
J.K. Rowling
Johnny Depp
David Brin
Posthumously: Lovecraft, Georgette Heyer

Who are you rage mourning today?

What is your comfort read, the thing you reach for when real life is overwhelming? Is it a book, an author, or a genre?

So this is BlueSky! I am still figuring out how I’m going to utilize this account, but expect it will be largely books, writing, and social. Not professional in either of my personas. Once I know what I’m doing I may add an author account. We’ll see.
