Our little church food ministry has already seen a 2x increase in requests for assistance in recent months. It's only going to grow, next month and even moreso next year.
I just donated to my local food bank. If you can, you should too. People are already suffering but next month, in particular, is going to be so difficult.

building off ashley’s point, this is how i feel about community arts organizing right now. that’s a role coming together and making stuff plays: slowing down, being present together, breathing, talking, making things, building, caring, encouraging, strengthening
i'm starting to love facilitation work more than anything.
getting people to slow down and breathe together feels like such important work right now. getting them to remember our values and our dreams, and to look at each other for strength.
