Just watched the movie 'Sneakers' again for the first time since the 90s. (It's on Peacock for free for a few more days.) I forgot how enjoyable it is. Just an incredible cast, though far too many of them are gone now. There was even a surprise cameo at the end that I forgot about. Great flick!

There’s a telling moment this morning when Trump was talking about how Democrats can nix (i.e. “blue card”) his nominees trying to pass thru the Senate. It’s impossible to get any of his guys through unless the Dems approve, which he thinks is crazy and needs to be done away with that tradition. /1

Halloween is absolutely dead this year. Barely any trick or treaters. Normally, I’d easily empty my big candy bucket and have to start rationing by the end. Bucket’s still full this year. I guess no one is in the mood to celebrate, especially when everyday is its own horror show.

Boy, North Carolina Republicans sure don't want the attached story to circulate. I sure hope that this stupid threat from their spokesperson doesn't boomerang on them and have a lot more people read and share the story, which once again, is conveniently attached below. That would be a shame.
