Powerful words
"Objectivity is not the same as neutrality. If there is an aggressor and a victim, a liar and an honest person, a corrupt individual and an honourable one, then your task is to describe all that clearly and forcefully."

Powerful words and an important read.

Worked out well to save the what £18b a year (before rebates) that we paid? I don’t see how anyone could say it’s been a success or even a good idea
💸 Brexit is predicted to have cost the UK economy a staggering 6-8% according to the latest study.

💰 That is equivalent to £180bn - £240bn A YEAR!

📉 And that has left HMRC about £90 billion shorter a year.

🪖 150% greater than the UK's defence budget.
No tub-thumping has died down, how about putting actual Brexit truths on a bus?
Labour's 'red lines' are enabling the enormous economic damage from Brexit to continue. The solution is a no-brainer, if

When I turned 50 last year a mate told me that being in your 50s is like being in sniper’s alley - I’m feeling it today because as I reached into my locker after a pre-work run my lower back went into spasms. It’s eased slightly with ibuprofen, but 😩

I was nervous about tonight’s game because Gillingham played exactly how I thought they would. Another that we’d have been bullied out of last season, so great to see us show our mettle. Belshaw showing exactly why he was an astute signing & has to take a lot of credit, but so does Paterson

The aim in any transfer window has to be to end stronger than started, especially in January. It’s safe to say we’ve done that, best Jan window under Reedtz bros. I’d have liked 1-2 more but I’m happy, even though we broke the tradition of signing an African striker from Scandinavia on deadline day

I love Paterson’s humility & respect to our opponents. Doesn’t get drawn into end of match fist pumps, but you can see both how he’s enjoyed the result & his focus. I wasn’t convinced by his appointment, but trust the Reedtz bros & so far they were right - Paterson deserves more songs in our games

I assume Traore going out on loan allows us to bring Harald in on loan as our second overseas player. The structure of the deal either means if we go up we can have more overseas players or we think Jatta and/or Traore will move on. Smart move by Montague

I’m curious about why our transfers keep leaking:
1. Aljofree’s return to Man Utd
2. Enoru spotted by a fan
3. Belshaw rumoured for weeks
4. Roos’ loan to Kilmarnock & 5. Gordon to Crawley I think rumoured
6. Ndlovu from Barnet
7. Traore to Sligo

Other rumours yet to happen, but feels unlike Notts
