In 1976-77 Dave Taylor led the NCAA in scoring with 108 points (in 34 games). Clarkson's opponents scored 127 against them all season. Taylor won ECAC player of the year that year (duh). The Hobey Baker Award did not yet exist.

Bobby Orr's 120 points in 1969-70 were more than double what any other defenseman had been able accumulate prior to that year. He also won the Art Ross Trophy that year - still the only Defenseman to ever win the award. (He won it twice.)
