Need to remove the plug from a microwave to pass the cable through a worktop, but it doesn't have screws. Do I just have to cut it off and replace it with a new plug? Seems wasteful.

Builder quoted ££££ for a 4 day job. Decided to save the money and do it in 10 days. 21 days later, it is done. Learned loads. Mainly that I don't want to lay another brick in my life.

Went to a comedy night in one of the villages. 3 great comedians and some really annoying shit, hecklers. Nick Doody was superb as always.

I've done one of those budget calculators, and we are £ 12 a year worse off, but that doesn't count the eventual energy bill reductions. It's just fuel duty as far as I can see. And for that, loads of kids get lifted out of poverty, and people with 2 million-pound houses get annoyed. Win.
