Channeling a mid-life crisis into an MSc in Politics & Communication. Also a fan of rugby, cooking, books and children (my own specifically).
Westminster, if you could just... not... for the next hour or so and let us just watch the curling in peace, that would be lovely. Thanks.

He agreed to do a video for my 7 year old daughter holding her teddy at Labour Party Conference last year, so she'll be rather pleased if he now becomes Prime Minister.

It also only consists of Taylor Swift songs.

Which also suggests my daughter's been heavily on my Spotify on Wednesday mornings recently...

The children have been given a karaoke machine. I have been given fancy ear plugs. This is symbiotic gifting at its finest.

An update: one of the other players got fired from her job.

Son, as mayor, offered her some jobs to help keep the game running (mostly delivering post).

He then promptly raised taxes to cover her wages.

Amazing story in The Times. Reform UK failed to pay VAT to HMRC on its sales (tickets, merchandise). About £400k in all.

Not tax avoidance. Not tax evasion. They just didn't realise when you sell stuff you have to charge VAT.

First day of school holidays. The kids have invented a complicated game involving jobs, shopping, a postal service and apparently fiscal policy.

My son is currently running around shouting "Twenty minutes until taxes! We need to pay for things!"

Strong early preparation for next month's budget.

It also appears to have been written by someone who has never had to juggle a full time job with having children which occasionally necessitates having to deal with calls and emails during family time.

I do not buy things without pockets now. Even my wedding dress had pockets. Boden quite good for be-pocketed things. And also Joanie and Albaray.

I have quite a similar looking navy one from Boden from a few years ago. Cotton and with pockets and it is everything I have ever wanted from a skirt.

Found this in an old notebook. Surely always an instruction worth following. Unclear why I felt I needed to write this down for future me though.

My 6 year old genuinely has a piece of a paper on which she has written an enemies list. It currently reads : Putin, Boris Johnson, Cousin Emma. Unclear what cousin Emma did to get into this category.
