Absolute dream of a week/end guest lecturing at the University of Ghent on an Afro-Eurasian perspective on the Commercial Revolution of the Middle Ages. The students were great, and the merchant capitalist setting of the city couldn't have been more fitting!

One for all the epigraphers out there: late thirteenth century #Armenian bishop and historian, Stepanos Orbelean, complaining about the poor preservation of an inscription he was using (and largely recorded verbatim) in his history.
