Just 5 more hours.

A dude saw me lift his car to inspect it. He was flabbergasted, asking "wait, you have to lift it? Is that a new requirement?"

I told him "no, it's been this way since the 1950s".

Like... seriously man, that's the "inspection" part of the inspection. I have to pick it up and look underneath.

Every time I've purchased a fan from noctua, it's come in completely different packaging.

I like this one because it's got a little window where you can see the lad!

I think I've found a flaw in the duck physics

Got my mini ITX computer to a reasonably finished state. After a year of buying parts when I could afford to, and trial-and-erroring parts that were "supposed" to fit, it's a finished product.

Switched on my inspection machine computer after all this time, and it no longer works! Great.

Dog treats version two worked better! They sound like they have a good crunch to them. Also some of them are teddy bears, I think.
November 17, 2025 at 5:05 PM
I was skeptical at first, but I do get it now.

Computer people- does a vapor-chamber have a MINIMUM amount of heat load that it would need for effective cooling? I know they like freeze and stuff at low ambient temps, but... I've gotten some odd data today.

Bro, that's not a BMW, that's a Mini Clubman

I'm entertained that, though borderlands 4 is unstable regardless, it does actually seem a little more stable when run on proton and an unsupported OS, rather than on native windows.

Bosses came in, looked at how much sales we'd done today, and said "hey, you guys can close and go home if you want"

Turns out that being open on a holiday doesn't guarantee making money on a holiday!

Alright, got some more sleep. I have enough energy to function now, but my spell slots didn't recover.

Oh also, apparently I have spell slots. No idea what they do, we'll see how this goes.

Had a hard time sleeping. Managed to get to sleep about two hours ago.

Then they started The Loudest Machine In Construction™

Ah, yes! A standard, run-of-the-mill, ordinary November thunderstorm.

A beast has chosen me as a perch. This is vital news.

I've been so busy, I forgot to post my @hiddenstash.bsky.social stuff! Shirt came out really well, that reverse tie-dye process is cool AF and gave a neat dimensional look.

Also the stickers are adorable!

... is THAT the shaders it spent 40 minutes processing?

A box truck marked "FUD" just went past. I can't find that logo or anything about a company online. I'm certain it's not a covert listening truck of any kind, and I'm going back to work.

I'm tired of being mad about cars but cars is all I deal with (╥﹏╥)

FUCK FORD AND THEIR DUMBASS ENGINEERS.

I've been unsure about how good/bad the new generation of Hyundai/Kia is. They look promising in some ways.

Today I've encountered a 2021 with no oil on the dipstick, so I think they're probably still bad. Be aware.

Oho, that's a good one! Notice how the bolt gets thinner near the head, and the threads get farther apart.

Also, that bit of material hanging off the second thread from the head? That's thread that's become warped and twisted.
