A big step for Mirri today! I was making a commotion, going in and out the front door. Instead of running to the bedroom to hide under the bed as usual, she stayed in the living room and watched from under a chair. Then she came right back out when the commotion ended. Big progress!

This sweet girl is Shoyu. Shoyu came to us a full YEAR ago, found outside with her two kittens. She’d clearly never been around people before and was completely terrified, but not aggressive. The area she was found in was unsafe to return to for TNR so we decided to give socialization a try. 🧵

If people can't afford to eat, they can't afford to feed their pets. Sometimes they're forced to give up a cherished dog or cat or bunny just to make sure they get the care they need. It's heartbreaking, especially since they're doing it out of love

These lovelies are Lolo and her 7 playful kittens~she got her name from "The Adventures of Lolo the Penguin“ cartoon. She gave birth to her babies last spring. 😻
