We've got mere HOURS to stop the budget resolution that would gut Medicaid and many of the services that our community relies on to live.
Disability community: We have about five hours to let our members of Congress know that they need to keep their #handsoffmedicaid. Please send an email and make a phone call today (esp if you live in CD3 or 8). Our handy toolkit has all the info you need. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

And so it begins
I posted about the CDC Vaccine Assessment tool being taken down. It's unclear how long it's been down for, but I don't believe it was within the hour since RFK Jr. was confirmed. Trying to get more clarity. In the meantime, this page has the suggested adult immunization schedule:

Stay up-to-date on getting recommended vaccines. View and print CDC immunization schedules for adult

This is how a democracy collapses: "A senior official at the Federal Emergency Management Agency instructed subordinates to freeze funding for a wide array of grant programs Monday, just hours after a federal judge ordered the Trump administration — for the second time — to stop such pauses."
FEMA official ignores judge's latest order, demands freeze on grant funding
Federal workers are being swept into the fight between Donald Trump and federal courts, with four FEMA aides fired Tuesday for being "deep state activists."

Excuse me while I vent for a moment

SHE IS THE APPROPRIATIONS CHAIR. SHE CAN SUBPOENA OFFICIALS, HOLD TELEVISED HEARINGS, HOLD UP ANYONE’S FUNDING, ZERO OUT THE WHITE HOUSE’S FUCKING ICE CREAM AND DIET COKE BUDGET, AND ENFORCE THE APPROPRIATIONS LAWS THAT ARE THE SOURCE OF HER PERSONAL POWER.
Senate Appropriations Chair Susan Collins slams the Trump admin’s NIH cuts as “poorly conceived” and says she has called RFK to “to express my strong opposition to these arbitrary cuts in funding for vital research.” She says he promised to “re-examine this initiative” if confirmed as HHS secretary.

Hey, FYI: if you post a screenshot with text, you can usually click the little icon at bottom right (see photo) to highlight all the text. Then you can click "Copy All" and paste it in as alt-text. Takes just a few seconds and makes tour images accessible to more people. Inclusion = good.

The groundwork the Trump admin is laying to deny court orders is chilling. *This* is the constitutional crisis waiting on the doorstep. Congress, including Republicans, MUST step up to assert their check and balance power. They MUST come out, publicly, in support of the Courts.
“The Trump administration is not refusing to share power with an opposing party. It is refusing to follow the constitutional limits of a government that its own party controls completely,” Jonathan Chait argues.
Trump Signals He Might Ignore the Courts
Yesterday, the president said that no judge “should be allowed” to rule against the changes his administration is making.

They are expanding their McCarthyite war on diversity to include people with disabilities, and doing it very clearly. Should someone in a wheelchair be able to work for the FAA? I think an overwhelming majority of Americans would say "of course" but that's not what we're hearing from Trump.

Yep, and anyone who says they care about the price of eggs (or groceries in general) should be leading the effort to get H5N1 under control. www.theatlantic.com/health/archi...
