The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

It's almost like there should be some journalistic standard for reporting the names of uncharged suspects and persons of interest in high-profile cases

I never know how to react to the latest news, so let me just say one more time: immigration is good. It helps immigrants and it helps native-born people. It makes the world richer, culturally and financially.

I know he’s going to but man do I hope Link doesn’t talk.
This is Miyamoto. Filming is underway for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda in a lush, natural setting, with Bo Bragason-san who will play Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san who will play Link (1/2).

Also related (or maybe the same): Suspense is not generated by the reader not knowing what happens next. It's generated by the reader CARING what happens next.
Related (or maybe the same) is that "I'm going to trick the reader haha" is not a good path to reader investment, but "I am going to delight the reader, haha!" is. They look the same on the surface but they're not. I always advise being generous to readers, not adversarial.

Why read past headlines: There's been a lot of coverage of how Musk built his wealth on government loans and contracts.

I go beyond that and demonstrate how he made his fortune on other people's research — and it all originates with federal funding.

The Office of Personnel Management had to set up a new email to send out the mass fork/delayed resignation email to feds.

The privacy assessment it released for that system after being sued raises more questions than it answers. More here:

OPM skirted agency norms in assessing the privacy of its new email system
Anonymous federal employees filed a lawsuit alleging that the new email system could be placing their sensitive personal information at risk.

Better idea: pass a comprehensive data privacy bill that applies across the board... and maybe *DON'T* mimic Chinese authoritarianism by creating a "Great Firewall" of apps that aren't allowed to operate here.

You can actually fix things AND not abuse the 1st Amendment in one shot!
I’m concerned that Americans are flocking to a number of adversary-owned social media platforms. We still need a comprehensive and risk-based approach to assessing and mitigating the risks of foreign-owned apps.
