Snake Games Are The Best Games

Eat all the food in a level to move on. The more you eat, the longer you grow.

There are three food types. Eat one of each to poop a green jelly worth lots of points. But eat two or more of the same type and you’ll poop a yellow mushroom instead. Don't eat mushrooms!

I only played this a couple of times over 40 years ago on a friend's computer but it's stuck in my memory along with another TI99/4a game. Despite it's innocent instructions the games title and gameplay (as BASIC as it is) suggest otherwise. Found it while watching TI99 games on YouTube.

It might not be in the AppStore any more, but you can still play it on your iPhings (or desktop or android or anything that has a decent browser)

From my large WIP pile, a game I was remaking at one time in the distance past (16 years ago!). Sorry about the flickering that was the video capture. Majority of graphics by David.

When I converted the ZX81 game last month, it was 8.5K. It should be easy to fit that into 8K, right?
Lots of things you can do to make your BASIC programs smaller, faster (and less readable).

No volume control on these old electronic games which takes me right back to Christmas where I'd have been annoying the family with the loud electronic beeps and chirps. This Christmas I'm mostly annoying the cats with it!
